Wine Critic abbreviations are widely used throughout out site. Below is a key to those reviewers along with a brief background on each.

BH – Burghound – Allen Meadows writes a quarterly review which focuses exclusively on Burgundy and other select regions growing Pinot Noir.

V – Vinous – Antonio Galloni, once a lead critic for The Wine Advocate, founded Vinous in mid-2013 focusing on wines from Italy, California, Champagne and Burgundy. In late 2014, Vinous absorbed the International Wine Cellar and all reviews from Stephen

WA – The Wine Advocate – Lead by Robert Parker, The Wine Advocate has been perhaps the most influential American wine publication over the last 30 years.

WS – Wine Spectator – One of the top American wine and lifestyle publications for almost two decades, their team of editors cover every major winegrowing region.

JS – James Suckling – An editor for Wine Spectator for almost three decades, James reports on the wines of Italy, Bordeaux, California & Australia.

JG – John Gilman’s View from the Cellar – This web based newsletter is released bi-monthly on the world’s greatest regions with a particular focus and expertise in Burgundy, Champagne, and classic vintage wines.

TA – Tim Atkin –  Tim Atkin, MW is one of Britain’s award-winning wine writers and critics scoring international wines with over 28 years of experience. One of Europe’s most important critics and finally gaining the well deserved attention of stateside collectors as well.
